Can you provide a bit of background on this, Hal? I happen to be reading the Peel biography at the moment ("Margrave of the Marshes"), and being an American do not know where this post fits precisely in the Peel history.

Great blog. I'm late to the game on Canterbury stuff and British prog in general, so the work you do here is a real treat for me.

Regards,

Thank you! However, track 20 can't be extracted from RAR archive because file name is too long. Please could you re-upload that track without all the info preceding the track number? Would be nice to have the Leonard Cohen track.....

Many thanks.

No worries, thanks Hal! Perhaps it will be revealed as I plow further into the book. Mr. Peel was an incredible asset to the music business at large, and I am sure is sorely missed by London listeners.

Dear Hal, I just discovered this blog thanks to a fellow member of the Yahoo Peel group, and I'm staggered at the superb quality of this download...the tracks that I can open from the rar file, that is. You see, I have the same problem as kingpossum, except that I can only open tracks 1, 2, 5 , 8 ,11, 13, 17, 18, 22-24, 27 and 28 and the txt file. Please could you reformat this rar file so that it is possible to enjoy it all. or suggest a workaround?
Rest assured that I will link you to my blog! Thanks very much.

Actually, I solved this problem by the simple means of installing 7 Zip (free) which has unzipped everything I got from you, even the Julie Driscoll. Thanks again, Hal!

Great post you got here. I'd like to read something more about that matter. The only thing I would like to see here is a few pics of some gizmos.
