  1. Many, many thanks for this: I've been looking for it for years! Great blog.

  2. Great post, Hal, thank you! We were fortunate enough to see Roxy in 03, one of only five shows they played in the U.S. that year. The band was flawless. And Bryan apparently enjoyed himself--he smiled 2-1/2 times!

    Cheers

  3. I am Joe Eastlack from New Jersey in the good old USA. I really like your blog it has some great stuff. Roxy and Arthur Brown are only two to mention. Great! Great! Keep it going, I like it, rather, I love it. Have a great day!

  4. They just because Ferry was something else in rock industry represent a new kind of our beloved music. And I'm sure this is a live proof of that. Thanks a lot Hal.

  5. That Sharebee link tried to open up some Virus scanning web pages. Having been bitten by that kind of virus before, thanks but no thanks.

  6. Hal,

Is this the same material comprising the 'First Kiss' bootleg? If so, is there any improvement in quality that you know of?

    Thanks for the terrific blog!

  7. Yes, this is better than the "First Kiss" bootleg

  8. The archive for disc two appears to be damaged. Would it be possible to fix that? Thanks!

("The structure of the archive is damaged (Error #17540)")

  9. Also, disc one does not include track 11 ("If There Is Something"), as listed on the post. But maybe it's on disc 2? Thanks.

  10. Awesome stuff! I had a rip of some of this stuff a few years back but lost it whilst moving flat. Any idea where I can find "The Bogus Man Pt.2" from the 11/72 session, that'd make my day, nay WEEK! Many thanks, etc... x

  11. Many thanks for this Hal,I have been trying to find this for decades in decent quality;absolutely wonderful-now ,if some genius could discover the first Roxy demos with Dexter Lloyd and Roger Bunn!Thank you so much!

  12. Thanksamillion. The version of "Virginia Plain" extended by an extra minutes of jammin' - magnificent. This presents Roxy at their explosive genesis, before beginning the smoothing-out process resulting in "Avalon," which was a great album (to go to sleep to).

  13. Great post, thanks for sharing, much appreciated :)

however, sharebee opens three of four ad pop-over and pop-under ad windows, full page ones, that don't go away... the only link I could choose was DepositFiles... if I tried any of the others, Sharebee put a full page ad over them and it would not fade away, no matter how long I waited. Sharebee used to be a good service, but now they try to flood your machine with unwanted ads and who knows what else.

  14. Thanks a lot Hal for this incredible post! I've also been wanting to find 'The Bogus Man Part 2' from the Novemeber of 72' Peel Session, it seems it is very rare as that session has only been played once and there might be a big chance that the tape of that sesssion is no longer available.

Do you know where I could find that track? Any kind of help would be appreciated, thanks a lot!

  15. I have a recording of the November 1972 Roxy Peel Session I made on an old Truvox Reel to Reel sometime in '73 so it was certainly broadcast more than once. I do also remember hearing it in stereo on headphones later that year but I was only 13 years old at the time and forbidden from using my father's Stereo Akai cassette recorder, otherwise i'd have a pristine copy ! Anyway ... here's the recording I have if you want to hear it. 'The Bogus Man Part Two' is in fact 'Grey Lagoons' possibly under a working title.

  16. I really don't like this band, it looks too old for me. As a fact I had heard that one of this guys needs to visit Viagra Online
    'cause he has serious problems.

  20. Hal, your a great man. I've wanted to hear the Peel version of "If There Is Something" for a long time. I must say it has met my expectations and more. Roxy is so underrated, they're like King Crimson meets Aladdin Sane. May thanks, keep up the good work.
